Andaone

Andaone is a music producer and artist from the states, he has a wide range of knowledge about instruments and in his debut album, Computer Love, which we have the pleasure of reviewing today, he plays almost all of the instruments involved.

The album begins with “Computer love, a nice steady beat begins the track, and the vocals and melody burst in with pace and excitement, the melody is catchy and does well to make the song interesting but not take anything away from the vocals, the vocals are clear and make the lyrics understood, the rap section in the song is very nice and makes the song move better, this is a good song to open the album with. “Dance everybody” is the second track on the album. It's very upbeat sounding, the melody creates quite a menacing sound, the chorus is very catchy, the vocals are very nice here as they are fast and really flow well. Its nice when the track cools down a bit and the sweeping synthesizers move around, its a nice contrast to the dangerous and exciting first half of the track. This is my personal favourite of the album. “sonic revolution” is up next, a nice melody begins the track, the vocals are very nice once again, the melody does a good job of accompanying and bring out the vocals, its a very nice dance track overall, the song calms down again a little like the previous track, its not as calming but its still pretty to listen to. “360” has a much more laid back intro compared to the past songs, it grows into a very sad, gentle song. The vocals are a lot more serious than the past songs aswell. It seems quite political motivated than other songs, it shows a good range of subject and it keeps the listener interested. “Kingston” is much more fun sounding, its very bouncy and its very easy to get into and enjoy, once again this shows a good range of style. The background chorus of “oh-oh-oh-oooh” is very catchy, this song could definitely make someone feel happier if they were feeling sad. “Piggy banks” has a more steady introduction this time, the song sounds like its quite sad, it isn't as exciting or as interesting as the previous songs, however it is still nice to listen to and I thought the chorus was one of the best choruses of the album. “That's me” has a fast lively intro and the vocals and melody jump straight in, its very fast and lively to listen to, the vocals really move this song. Once again this is another well produced song that adds another dimension to the album. “Welcome to the now” is very heavy sounding, it becomes quite dark sounding when the vocals come in, its slightly Indian influenced which is very interesting. The “chanting” of the vocals is very catchy and really creates a scary atmosphere.
“Workin' Around The Clock” begins with a clean guitar playing a nice little melody, its very good how it gradually builds up, the beat is steady and makes the song enjoyable, its a lot more light hearted than most of the songs on the album, the saxophone is a nice inclusion as it makes the song more jazzy and interesting. Its a nice way to end the album as it leaves making your spirits high.

Overall this is a fantastic album as it has a nice range of styles, lyrical subjects and instruments. I am definitely looking forward to the next album. Well done!
